Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Skerrow Uploader accesses, how it is used, and how access can be revoked. You must read and agree to this policy before using Skerrow Uploader.
Who we are
Skerrow Uploader is a private, internal software tool operated by the owner of the YouTube channel Skerrow Light · Sleep Stories. It runs on the owner's own computer and is not offered to the public. Its only user is the channel owner.
Skerrow Uploader uses YouTube API Services
Skerrow Uploader uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to the Skerrow Light channel and to manage those videos. By using Skerrow Uploader, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What information is accessed
When the channel owner signs in with Google (OAuth 2.0) and grants access, Skerrow Uploader can access, through the YouTube Data API:
- the basic details of the authorized channel (channel ID and channel name), to confirm that the right channel is connected;
- the metadata of the channel's own videos: title, description, tags, category, language, privacy status, scheduled publication time and processing status;
- the channel's own playlists and video thumbnails.
Skerrow Uploader sends to YouTube the video files, thumbnails and text written by the channel owner for their own channel.
Skerrow Uploader does not access, collect or store information about any other YouTube user: no viewer data, no subscriber lists, no comments, no analytics about people.
What is stored, and for how long
- OAuth tokens. The access and refresh tokens issued by Google are stored in a single file on the owner's private computer, readable only by the owner's user account. They are never shared or sent anywhere except to Google.
- API Data. Information read from the YouTube API is displayed to the owner and then discarded when the command ends. Skerrow Uploader keeps no database and no copy of API Data.
- This website. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking technology, and its web server keeps no access logs.
How information is used and shared
Information is used only to upload, schedule and organize videos on the Skerrow Light channel, at the request of the channel owner. It is not sold, not shared with any internal or external party, and not used for advertising. Skerrow Uploader shows no advertising and does not allow third parties to serve advertising or collect information.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Skerrow Uploader also has a revoke command, which revokes the token with Google and deletes the local token file immediately.
If access is revoked through Google, the local token file is deleted within 7 days. Because Skerrow Uploader keeps no other data, nothing else remains to delete. Videos uploaded to YouTube stay on the channel and are managed in YouTube Studio, under YouTube's own terms.
Children
Skerrow Uploader is not directed to children and is used only by the adult channel owner.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
